Through a packaging error with Tesco Frozen Steam Rice – White Rice, some packs have been incorrectly filled with Tesco Frozen Egg Fried Rice. As a result, the egg allergen has not been declared on the pack. This makes the product unsafe for individuals who are allergic to egg.

Action taken by the company
Tesco has withdrawn the product from sale. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all stores, informing customers of the actions they can take if they have purchased the product. In addition, Tesco will contact the relevant allergy support organisations who will inform their at risk allergic members of the withdrawal.
No other Tesco products are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers
Consumers who are allergic to egg are advised not to eat this product.
