Morrisons withdraws the Miramonte Ridge brand of Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc wines due to incorrect allergen labelling information

Risk
The above product contains sulphites as ingredients which are not declared on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information. The product is, therefore, a potential health risk for individuals with a sensitivity to sulphites.
Action taken by the company
Morrisons has withdrawn the affected batch from sale. In addition, Morrisons has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal. Morrisons has also issued product recall notices in its retail stores. A copy of this notice is attached below.
No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers
Customers sensitive to sulphites are advised not to drink these products.

We are taking the precautionary measure of recalling
Miramonte Ridge Merlot, 75cl, £5.99
Miramonte Ridge Sauvignon Blanc, 75cl, £5.99
As a result of a labelling error the Sulphite ingredients within these products has not been listed as an allergen on the label.
Those allergy sufferers who may be affected should not consume these products but return it to us for a full refund.
NO OTHER MORRISONS PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED.
