Resources for local authorities joining the national scheme for England, Wales and Northern Ireland
The Agency has produced a range of guidance and materials to assist local authorities beginning preparatory work towards introducing the national food hygiene rating scheme. This page will be updated as new elements of the scheme are agreed and new materials are produced.
If you are a local authority interested in joining the national scheme, or would like to find out more about it, we would encourage you to contact one of our local authority secondees. Nat Slade and Jaan Stanton both have experience of implementing 'scores on the doors' schemes and have joined the Agency to help local authorities with the implementation of the national scheme. If you need advice, you can email Nat at Nat.slade@foodstandards.gsi.gov.uk or Jaan at Jaan.Stanton@foodstandards.gsi.gov.uk.
