C01 and C02 Programme Review
A review of the Food Standards Agency's research and survey programmes (C01 and C02) on environmental contaminants in food has been completed. The review encompassed over 70 surveys and research projects on environmental contaminants (heavy metals, dioxins and PCBs, other organic pollutants) in food.

Objectives
- To evaluate the scientific quality and relevance of the projects undertaken within these programme and how they have met the Programmes objectives.
- To assess the collective value of the work within the Programmes and identify future requirements.
Stakeholder Meeting
A meeting attended by representatives from the food industry, consumer organisations, laboratories and other Government departments was held on 13 July to discuss the interim results of the programme review.
