T07 Programme Review 2003
A review of the Food Intolerance Research Programme was held on 25th-27th November 2003 at Moat House Hotel, York.
Chairman
Dr Sue Barlow: an independent consultant toxicologist and Chair of the European Food Safety Authority's Scientific Panel on Food Additives, Flavourings, Processing Aids and Materials in Contact with Food, and a member of EFSA's Scientific Committee.
Review Panel Members
Dr Ronald van Ree, Sanquin Blood Supply Foundation, Amsterdam.
Prof. Peter Aggett, Chair of the Nutrition Committee of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and University of Central Lancashire.
Dr Ricki Helm, University of Arkansas.
Prof. Jonathan Lamb, GlaxoSmithKline.
Dr Graham Devereux, Aberdeen University.
Dr Christoph Klein, Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
Objectives
- To evaluate the success of the programme against the aims and objectives set in the programme's ROAME statement;
- To establish if the Agency needs to fund any more research in this area or a similar area and, if so, formulate the basis for a new ROAME statement;
- To summarise the outcomes of the research and evaluate its utility to the Agency and its stakeholders.
