Scottish Food Advisory Committee (SFAC)
The Scottish Food Advisory Committee was set up to give advice to the Food Standards Agency on food safety and standards issues affecting Scotland.
The Committee is committed to acting in an open and transparent way. It can publish its advice as well as making it available to the Agency through its Scottish arm in Aberdeen. It will regularly meet in public.

The Chair, Deputy Chair and nine members were selected for their breadth of expertise, their experience and their practical knowledge. This, combined with their wide range of backgrounds, will ensure that a broad range of perspectives are taken into account, ensuring the production of thorough and well-considered advice on the future direction of food safety in Scotland.
