The Food Standards Agency has completed a programme of unannounced inspections of all slaughterhouses in Britain, to ensure that the businesses are meeting their obligations on animal welfare standards and that FSA teams are checking their controls appropriately.
Nua Naturals has recalled its Organic Chlorella Powder with BioCultures (140g) because salmonella has been detected. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause food poisoning. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.
The FSA’s existing contract for engagement within primary schools in Wales comes to an end in March 2015. The FSA wishes to continue with its school engagement programme over the coming years and has determined that its future programme will be targeted at some of Wales’ most deprived communities.
