Paul Williams has worked for more than 20 years in the international seafood business, in aquaculture and wild capture, and in both the public and private sectors.

He was head of the research division of one of the major international salmon farming and feed companies, Cermaq, in his role as Managing Director of the subsidiary company, EWOS Innovation. EI was based in Norway but Paul also led teams in Chile, Canada and the UK.

He moved back to the UK to become Research Director of the Sea Fish Industry Authority (Seafish), the UK seafood industry levy body, with a mission to support a profitable, sustainable and socially responsible future for the industry.

Paul eventually stepped up to become Chief Executive and, after five years in this role, left Seafish in October 2015. In addition to joining the FSA Board, Paul is also a Board member for the Gangmaster's Licensing Authority.
