Ruth Nolan, Director of People and Resources

Ruth Nolan joined the FSA in October 2022 as Deputy Director of Finance and Planning and became Director in summer 2023. 

Ruth started her career at PwC, working for eight years on audit and consulting projects with public sector clients whilst securing her accountancy qualification, before making the move into the public sector in 2016.

Ruth previously worked at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), where she had been a Deputy Director of Finance since January 2020, business partnering the Universal Credit programme and leading a team which supported all of DWP’s major transformation programmes. Prior to that she worked in strategic finance in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and business partnering at Department for Communities and Local Government.
