Consumers are being warned not to eat a number of food products, mainly frozen fish and chicken, supplied by MDA Products Ltd. The products have been repackaged in an unapproved premises and are therefore potentially unsafe.
Co-op is recalling its Hollow Milk Chocolate Santa because of two reports of alleged product tampering where the product was found to contain small batteries. The presence of small batteries makes this product unsafe to eat and presents a risk to health.
Alivini Company Limited has taken the precautionary step of recalling 1062 ml jars of Italcarciofi Friarielli (Turnip top leaf in sunflower oil), because preliminary investigations by the National Institute of Health in Italy suggested the product could have been associated with three suspected botulism cases in Italy.
Monolith UK Ltd is recalling its Chilled Dried Salted Common Roach because of concerns over the company’s procedures in place to control Clostridium botulinum. The product is linked to botulism cases in Germany and is being recalled from customers as a precautionary measure.
Natures Menu is recalling its ‘Country Hunter 80% Farm Reared Turkey with Wholesome Fruit and Veg’ frozen pet food, because the product contains Salmonella. Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause food poisoning.
