Local Authority Food Hygiene Rating Scheme User Group

The FHRS User Group is a forum for two-way communication between the FSA and local authorities in England, in relation to the implementation and operation of the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.

The group is chaired by the FSA and membership comprises local authority representatives from each of the nine regions in England.

Terms of reference

To provide a forum for:

  • the FSA and local authority partners to identify challenges arising from the practical implementation and operation of the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme and develop solutions to meet these with a view to consistency in applying the FHRS Brand Standard
  • help identify and share new ideas and good practice relating to the operation of the scheme and communication about it with businesses and consumers.
