Sainsbury’s Just Cook Chicken Breasts with Piri Piri sauce recalled due to the possible presence of undeclared milk and wheat

Sainsbury’s is recalling its Just Cook Chicken Breasts with Piri Piri sauce 326g with a ‘use by’ date of 24 January 2016 because some packs have been incorrectly packaged, and contain Chicken and Bacon Lattice. This means the product contains milk and wheat, which is not mentioned on the product label.

The product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to wheat or intolerance to gluten.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to wheat or intolerance to gluten, do not eat it. Instead, return the product to the Sainsbury’s store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

Sainsbury’s is recalling the product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores, a copy of which is attached to this notice.

No other Sainsbury’s products are known to be affected.
