Government’s Red Tape Challenge

On 6 May 2011 most of the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA’s) legislation was published on the website and remained on the site until 2 June 2011. At the same time we have been reviewing our stock of legislation to consider which legislation we will recommend keeping, amending or removing taking into account the comments made on the website. This paper includes initial findings of the review and the actions we intend to take. This initial report will be made to Ministers in June 2011. This paper also provides the structure for the paper with the final report for discussion at the July 2011 Open Board meeting before submission to Ministers in August.
