The FSA has published the 12th annual Radioactivity in Food and the Environment (RIFE) report, which shows that the level of man-made radioactivity to which people in the UK are exposed, remained below the EU legal limit during 2013. No food safety concerns were identified.

The findings provide information on reported behaviours, attitudes and knowledge relating to food issues in 2014. The Food and You survey is published once every two years. In October 2014 the combined UK results were published.
Tayto Group Ltd has recalled a batch of ‘Tayto Snack Attack 10+5 (Bikers, Rollers and Chips) multipack’ because it contains milk, soya and wheat which are not mentioned on the outer wrapper. This makes the product a possible health risk for those with an allergy or intolerance to milk (or its constituents) and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten and an allergy to soya.
The FSA has published its annual report on progress towards implementation of the UK Multi-Annual National Control Plan (MANCP). The report, which is based on data collected for 2013, shows that overall level of compliance in all sectors in the UK was satisfactory when assessed against expectations.
