Food chain information for poultry

Last updated:

Since 1 January 2006, poultry intended for human consumption have required FCI to be supplied.

The information to be provided by the FBO rearing animals (farmer or producer) at least 24 hours in advance before the arrival of the poultry at the slaughterhouse is contained in the form ‘Poultry FCI’ (PFCI).

This form has been revised to reflect new rules being introduced for the keeping of meat chickens (EU Broiler Directive (2007/43/EC)) and Salmonella testing in poultry (Regulation (EC) No. 2160/2003).
