Tesco recalls Chunky Chocolate Shortcakes 175g

Tesco is recalling its own-brand Chunky Chocolate Shortcakes 175g product, with best before date 3 September 2016, because the presence of egg is not mentioned on the label. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

The company has removed the product from its shelves and displayed product recall notices in stores where the affected product was sold. Product recall information will be displayed on the Tesco website. A copy of Tesco's recall notice is attached to this notice. Tesco will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
