Waitrose recalls Frozen 2 Breaded Haddock Fillets because of incorrect allergen labelling

Waitrose is recalling a batch of its Frozen 2 Breaded Haddock Fillets because it was incorrectly packaged with battered haddock fillets, which contain milk and mustard. This means the product contains undeclared mustard and milk and this is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard, and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

No other Waitrose products are known to be affected.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard and/or milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

Waitrose is recalling the above product from customers and been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see a copy of the notice below.
