Douglas Willis Ltd is recalling a variety of meat products on a precautionary basis as they may contain small pieces of hard plastic.

All Sausages packed on 20/3/2017 with Use By Date of 29/03/2017
All Burgers packed on 20/3/2017 with Use By Date of 26/03/2017

No other Douglas Willis Ltd products are known to be affected.


Products may contain small pieces of hard plastic which could represent a safety risk.

Our advice to customers

If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

Douglas Willis Ltd is recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores which are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

About product recalls and withdrawals

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product). The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
