Cofresh recalls its Cornflake Mix snack because of packaging error

Cofresh is recalling a batch of Cornflake Mix snack because it has been mis-packed with Cofresh’s Salted Rice Sticks. It contains wheat flour (gluten) not mentioned on the label. The products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat flour or gluten. Only products purchased from ASDA or Wm Morrison stores with this batch number are known to be affected.

No other Cofresh products are known to be affected.

Risk

This product contains wheat (gluten) making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

Cofresh is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. A copy of this can be found as Annex 1. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see the attached notice.
