Aldi recalls Brasserie Gluten Free Organic Pale Ale due to undeclared barley

Aldi is recalling its Brasserie Gluten Free Organic Pale Ale because it contains barley which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to barley. The product does not pose a risk to consumers with coeliac disease.

Advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to barley, do not drink it. Instead return it to the store from where you bought it for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

Aldi is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also been asked to issue a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is/products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
