Birds Eye recalls 4 x Shortcrust Chicken Pies due to undeclared mustard

Birds Eye is recalling its 4 x Shortcrust Chicken Pies because a small number of packs have been identified to contain Birds Eye Steak Pies. The Steak pies contain mustard which is not mentioned on the label; therefore it is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard.

This product contains mustard making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company

Birds Eye is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is/products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached information letter.
