Colm McKenna retired from the industry in October 2008, following a long and successful career in financial services, which included leadership positions in Corporate Treasury, International Banking, Trade Finance and Marketing. Since then, he has dedicated his energies to Board-level leadership in the Northern Ireland Public Sector.

He currently holds the following roles:

  • Chairman of BBC – NI Appeals Advisory Committee since May 2014
  • Independent Board member and Chair of Audit and Risk Assurance Committee for the Department of the Economy for Northern Ireland since September 2017
  • Independent member of the Northern Ireland Policing Board since December 2018

In his spare time, Colm is Chairman of Club Aontroma, the commercial/fundraising organisation behind Antrim Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). He lives in Glenavy, Co. Antrim with his wife Giuseppa and they have two grown up children and six grandchildren.
