This Annex analyses the proportion of total annual throughput that constitutes major and critical non-compliances in slaughterhouses.
Total throughput and non-compliances
This content analyses the proportion of total annual throughput that constitutes major and critical non-compliances in slaughterhouses. The table below summarises the figures for FY-2016 to FY-2021. It shows that since 2017 when the system began recording the number of animals involved in incidents, the proportion of animals involved in major and critical incidents has remained very low, at a small fraction of 1% of all animals.
