Tesco recalls Tesco Mini Breadsticks (6 pack) because of undeclared sesame

Tesco is recalling Tesco Mini Breadsticks (6 pack) because they may contain sesame which is not mentioned on the label. Due to a packaging error, some of the packs of mini breadsticks with sesame coating may have been incorrectly packed into multi pack Tesco Mini Breadsticks (6 pack). This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.

This product contains sesame making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.

Action taken by the company

Tesco is recalling the above product from customers and will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to sesame do not eat it. Instead return it to the Tesco store for a full refund.
