Consultation subject

This consultation concerns twelve feed additive applications that have been submitted for authorisation in Great Britain (GB). Under current operating arrangements for Northern Ireland, businesses seeking a new authorisation for a regulated feed product to be placed on the Northern Ireland market will continue to follow EU rules.

In addition to this consultation, we have also published joint Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS) opinions and safety assessments for the applications.

Purpose of the consultation

This consultation provides the opportunity for stakeholders’ views to be taken, to inform Ministers in England and Wales, (with Ministers in Northern Ireland kept informed) before they make a decision on the authorisation of the feed additives included in this consultation.

We are seeking feedback on the proposed terms of authorisation, our assessment of the potential impacts detailed in the consultation pack, and any further evidence you may have on additional impacts that we should consider.

A parallel consultation has been published by FSS.
