Report a problem with a food product

Please note, as a result of the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it may not be possible for local authorities to respond to you quickly on the problem you report but they will be investigated where this is appropriate and practical in the current circumstances.

Step 1 of 6

Report a problem with food that you've bought, if you believe it could pose a food safety or health risk.

This could include:

  • a foreign object found in your food
  • food that appears to be contaminated with chemicals
  • food that has been provided with visible signs of mould or decay.


Your report will be sent to your local authority for further investigation.
