Consultation target audience

Enforcement authorities, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of jam and similar products.

Subject of this consultation

Draft Regulations to revoke and replace the Jam and Similar Products (Wales) Regulations 2004 ('the 2004 Regulations'). The draft Regulations will replace out-dated references to the Food Labelling Regulations 1996 ('FLR') and introduce improvement notice provisions for non-compliance.

Purpose of this consultation 

To provide stakeholders with an opportunity to comment on the draft Regulations. The Regulations are based on the proposed preferred option of revoking and replacing the 2004 Regulations to replace out of date references to the FLR and introduce improvement notice provisions for non-compliance.
