Fellowship opportunity PATH-SAFE Science Lead

We’re excited to offer this unique, two-and-a-half year, senior Fellowship to lead the delivery of the Pathogen Surveillance in Agriculture, Food and the Environment (PATH-SAFE) project. It’s a chance to undertake cutting-edge genomic science and contribute directly to the protection of UK food, agriculture and consumers.

The Carib Bayou restaurant

The Carib Bayou restaurant was opened in 2011 by the food business operator (FBO), Mr Serge Truscott, and his wife Henrietta. The restaurant specialises in fine Caribbean cuisine and can accommodate 75 covers when full.

Papa's Pizza and Burgers

Papa’s Pizza and Burgers is a mobile pizza and burger van operated by Mr Luigi Benito of 34 Hampton Street, Fulchester.

The Old Forge Guesthouse

The Old Forge Guesthouse is a recently opened two-bedroomed Bed and Breakfast run by Cheryl and Chad Miller. The building was formerly an industrial unit which Chad has spent the last two years renovating to a very high standard. He and Cheryl now live in part of the building and accommodate a maximum of four guests per night in one double and one twin room both with en-suite bathrooms

FHRS consistency exercises

These exercises, originally presented to local authorities as a national consistency exercise, are based around food business inspection scenarios. They can be used as a team exercise or by individuals to work through and give the businesses a food hygiene rating. They may be especially useful for student and newly qualified officers, or those returning to food safety and hygiene enforcement.
