Board Member for Wales appointed
Peter Price has been appointed as Board Member for Wales and Chair of the Welsh Food Advisory Committee
The Food Standards Agency has announced a new appointment to the FSA Board. Peter Price will serve as Board Member for Wales, and Chair of the Welsh Food Advisory Committee, for a three-year term ending in 2023.
Heather Hancock, Chairman of the Food Standards Agency, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Peter to the FSA Board. He brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to the Board and I look forward to working with him to continue to protect consumers’ interests in relation to food.”
Peter has held successive careers in law and in the European Parliament, progressing into a portfolio of non-executive, consultancy and judicial roles. He has held several past roles as a Non-executive Director: including with Bureau Veritas Quality International Limited (BVQI), the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the Wales Audit Office. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Governance of the Comptroller and Auditor-General of Jersey. He has a long-standing commitment to effectiveness in public services, and extensive knowledge of Welsh public and third sector bodies.
