About this consultation

What is the purpose of this consultation?

The Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland welcomes stakeholders' views on proposed amendments to NI domestic legislation to ensure it will continue to operate once the UK has left the EU. The legislation relates to:

  • food and feed safety and hygiene (including the safety aspects of food standards i.e. food additives)
  • food compositional standards and
  • labelling (including nutrition labelling)

Who will this consultation be of interest to?

Food and animal feed businesses including manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, and enforcement authorities. The consultation may also be of interest to health professionals, consumer groups and others with an interest in food and feed legislation.
