About this consultation
Consultation target audience
District councils, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of caseins and caseinates. The consultation may also be of interest to health professionals, consumer groups and others with an interest in food labelling legislation.
Subject of this consultation
The draft Caseins and Caseinates Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 will transpose the requirements of Directive 2015/2203 on caseins and caseinates intended for human consumption. The Northern Ireland Regulations are intended to come into operation from 22 December 2016.
Purpose of this consultation
To provide stakeholders with an opportunity to comment on the draft Northern Ireland Regulations which are based on the preferred proposed option for the transposition of the EU Directive.
